Metronome News
Crypto & Web3 journalism with a steady beat.
Metronome News is an independent publication covering cryptocurrency, blockchain, and the broader Web3 ecosystem. We aim to cut through the noise with clear, thoughtful coverage that respects your time.
Why Metronome?
The crypto news cycle is deafening. Every hour brings new tokens, new protocols, new narratives. Most of it is noise — paid promotion, copypasted press releases, hot takes without substance.
We think crypto deserves better. A metronome keeps rhythm steady regardless of the tempo around it. That's the posture we want to bring to crypto coverage: measured, consistent, clear.
What we cover
We focus on eight core areas:
- Bitcoin — ETF flows, on-chain data, macro narratives
- Ethereum — upgrades, L2 ecosystem, DeFi on mainnet
- Altcoins — everything beyond BTC and ETH that matters
- DeFi — protocols, yield, risks, and the innovation cycle
- NFTs — past the hype, into real use cases
- Regulation — what lawmakers do and how it affects you
- Market Analysis — data over opinion
- Web3 — the broader decentralized stack
Our principles
Three rules we try to keep:
- No shilling. We don't take payment to cover projects.
- Sources over speculation. Every claim links to its origin.
- Respect your time. Short when possible, long only when needed.
Who's behind this
Metronome News is a one-person operation (for now). I'm raptor, an independent writer covering crypto and Web3. If you'd like to collaborate, suggest a story, or just say hi — get in touch.
How to support
The best way to support Metronome News is to read the articles, share the ones you find useful, and tell one person who also reads too much crypto news. We don't run ads on readers (currently) and don't take sponsored content.
Technology
This site is built with Astro, hosted on GitHub Pages, and written in Markdown. No trackers, no ads, no third-party scripts following you around. The source code is public and open.
